Payroll Office

The Payroll Office is responsible for timely and accurate processing of the College’s staff, faculty, and student payrolls, monitoring and reporting payroll taxes and other deductions, assuring compliance with IRS regulations, and issuing annual Wage & Tax Statements. Services provided include direct deposit of pay, additional Federal or State withholding, and employment verification.

The Payroll Office is located on the main floor of Tomson Hall Rm 132.

NEWS & UPDATES

Effective January 31, 2025, Faculty and staff who log hours worked and absences used (e.g., Vacation, Personal Days, Sick Time) will experience a refreshed look and feel to the user interface. Please take note of the following changes:

  • The updates to pages under Absence Balance, Add Absence, and Existing Balance are primarily visual and will not impact usability.

  • Hourly staff and student employee Time Cards will transition to a spreadsheet view that allows employees to more easily enter hours worked for multiple shifts across an entire pay period.

  • All employees will use the Absence tile to request all their leave. Absences will be recorded under Add Absences only.

IRS SCAM ALERT 1/31/2025: (Courtesy of Arctic International- Glacier)

Many of you are aware that the IRS is issuing automatic payments to taxpayers who it believes were eligible for the Recovery Rebate Credit on their 2021 U.S. tax returns, but who did not claim the credit at the time of tax return filing.

Many nonresident aliens are receiving these payments even though they were not eligible for them.  We want to alert you that the IRS recently announced that scammers are impersonating the IRS and sending texts to taxpayers asking for sensitive information under the guise that the taxpayer could be eligible to receive the Recovery Rebate Credit payment if they disclosed sensitive, private information to them. This is actually a scam to steal the individual’s personal data.

As a reminder, the IRS NEVER asks for personal or financial information by unsolicited text, email, or through social media.  Additionally, the taxpayer should take note that all federal government website addresses end in “.gov”, not “.com” or other extension.
