Guest Masterclass: Daniel Kitchens, horn

Daniel Kitchens, principal horn of the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra will present a horn masterclass.

Daniel Kitchens is Principal horn of the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra, a position that includes performing in the Dakota Wind Quintet, an ensemble that is deeply involved in community engagement projects, and concertizes throughout the region. Daniel has studied and performed abroad in London and in 2021 he was honored to make his Solo debut with the SDSO, performing Strauss’ Second Horn Concerto.

In his masterclass, Daniel will speak about  his journey winning and maintaining a full time orchestral position and work with individual brass students and wind chamber groups.
