Mellby Lecture

Professor Rika Ito, Asian Studies, presents this years Mellby Lecture “The Role of Language in Reproducing Imagined “Others”: Critical Views from Anime and Manga”.

The annual Mellby Lecturer Award honors a St. Olaf faculty member who demonstrates “excellence in professional activity,” “Intellectual rigor in both scholarship and teaching, and a creative concern for interrelationships and communication across disciplines.”
