Public Affairs Conversation

    Intended Learning Outcomes

    Upon the completion of the program, students will demonstrate:

    1. Knowledge of the socio-political history that has shaped American Public affairs, including history related to class, gender, and race.
    2. The ability to understand and evaluate competing normative perspectives and to apply those perspectives to contemporary policy debates.
    3. Awareness of the moral, economic, historical and religious complexity of public policy debates.
    4. The ability to engage in respectful disagreement about controversial matters of public interest.
