Studies in Percussion

  • Percussion students have the opportunity to perform as soloists in solo recitals, group recitals, and studio classes.
  • The large ensembles feature a full range of percussion instrumentation and frequently feature soloists, including the St. Olaf Orchestra’s annual Senior Soloist concert performances.
  • Instruction is offered to music majors and non-music majors on snare drum, timpani, mallet percussion or drum set in weekly half-hour or hour lessons.
