Seniors Alumni	Blakemore Freeman Fellowships	Blakemore Freeman Fellowships are awarded for one academic year of full-time, intensive language study of Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Khmer or Burmese at the advanced level in approved language programs in East or Southeast Asia.	December

First Years Sophomores Juniors Seniors Alumni	Critical Language Scholarship	Scholarship to attend State Dpt.-administered overseas intensive summer language institutes in thirteen critical-need foreign languages.	Early November

Sophomores Juniors	DAAD Undergraduate Scholarship	Offers support for undergraduate students to study abroad in Germany and at German universities.	Click here for deadlines

Seniors	Davies-Jackson Scholarship	Offers a two-year B.A. program at St. John’s College (University of Cambridge, UK) for first generation students	November

Seniors Alumni	Donald M. Payne International Development Fellowship Program	Awards graduate funding to students interested in pursuing careers in the Foreign Service of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).	January

First Years Sophomores	Fulbright Summer Exchange	Provides funding to travel to the UK for three, four, five, or six week academic and cultural summer program. Seniors, 1st year Alumni	Fannie & John Hertz Foundation	Provides unique financial and fellowship support to the nation’s most remarkable PhD students in the applied physical, biological, and engineering sciences. The Graduate Fellowship Award is based on merit (not need) and consists of cost-of-education allowance and a personal-support stipend.	Fall 2019

Seniors	Herbert Scoville Jr. Peace Fellowships	Fellows receive a salary and an opportunity to work with an organization in Washington, D.C. related to peace and security.	January (for fall)

Sophomores Juniors Seniors Alumni	Humanity In Action	Humanity in Action (John Lewis Fellowship) funds a summer program that brings together international groups of university students and recent graduates to explore national histories of discrimination and resistance, as well as examples of issues affecting different minority groups today. Sophomores Juniors	Howard Hughes Medical Research	Medical Research Fellows Program aims to strengthen and expand the nation’s pool of physician-scientists, dentist-scientists, and veterinarian-scientists.	January

Seniors Alumni	Knight-Hennessy Scholarship	Up to 100 high-achieving students from around the world receive full funding to pursue any graduate degree at Stanford University.	October 9, 2019, at 1:00pm Pacific Time

Seniors Alumni	Leonore Annenberg Teaching Fellowship	A national “Rhodes Scholarship” for teaching, this award seeks outstanding recent college graduates and career-changers who agree to a three-year commitment to work in high-need secondary schools.	October
Dependent upon type of scholarship	MEXT Scholarships	Monbukagakusho (MEXT), the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology offers four different scholarships for non-Japanese nationals wishing to study in Japan.	April-May

Juniors, Seniors, Recent Grads	Pickering Fellowship	The Fellowship identifies and attracts, based onfinancial need, outstanding students who represent racial, ethnic, gender, social and geographic diversity and prepares them academically and professionally for a career in the U.S. Department of State Foreign Service by providing financial support, mentoring and professional development. Sophomores Juniors Seniors	Vann Fellowship for Biomedical Ethics (Mayo Clinic)	Funding for a minimum of 8 weeks and up to 10 weeks at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota for research related to biomedical ethics	January
