The goal of the session is for students to learn from our accomplished alumni while trying to take some of the mystery out of the ins and outs of the publishing business.
Hosted in partnership with ArtBound, this workshop will cover personalized topics, including strategies for building your personal brand for networking or tips on standing out in the creative industry. This session aims to equip you with practical tools to advance your career.
We will match alumni participants with students for a series of quick, 10 minute “speed networking” sessions throughout the hour, using the MeetAway platform.
Join us as we welcome Ryan French ’94 – Chief Operating Officer at the Minnesota Children’s Theatre – as he leads a conversation about the ever-evolving Twin Cities landscape of the arts, the power of creative synergy, and collaborative endeavors that have taken center stage. As artistic communities forge new avenues for expression, exchange of ideas, and innovation, Ryan will discuss the role of effective arts management and how it has become fundamental in channeling collective potential.
Students will apply their learning to a hands-on personal design project, allowing them to create a real-world UX design project from concept to prototype.
This workshop series and certificate program aims to provides students with a hands-on opportunity to learn about these key topics and skills necessary to start your career in art conservation.
The certificate will provide foundational skills in copyediting, as well as more detailed information related to parts of speech and sentence construction to ensure you have a range of skills to make your writing stand out.
The Work of Art: Business Skills for Artists program is a semester-long workshop series intended to help fine arts and humanities students develop the skills and tools necessary to prepare them to launch themselves, their artistic or creative endeavors into the marketplace.
