Connect For Success Scholars

A program dedicated to supporting Multicultural, First Generation and Low-Income students.

Peer-mentorship makes a difference in helping students navigate their first year. Many students have reported having a mentor was helpful in finding a sense of belonging. Navigating community life can bring its own twists and turns. The Connect for Success Scholars (CFSS) Peer-mentors will walk alongside our students as they navigate the first year at St. Olaf College and help them accomplish their goals.

Financial literacy seminar.

Cultural excursions and meaningful connections with peers, staff and faculty.

Mentorship

The CFS Peer Mentors are first generation themselves. They will work closely with you to build community, provide resources and opportunities, and guide you as you navigate the College.

Community Building Events

In collaboration with TRIO Student Support Services, you will have the opportunity to participate in events to meet other first generation students and engage in social events.

Meaningful Connections and Networking

Connect with faculty, staff, alumni and other students by participating in programs and networking spaces offered by the Taylor Center of Equity and Inclusion and its campus partners.

Academic success programming

Programming tailored to the specific needs of first-generation, first-year students offered by the Academic Support Center (ASC) .

Vocation and Career Exploration

Meaningful workshops on setting your future goals for career and experiential learning to maximize your future you! including creating a resume and how to maximize your first year at St. Olaf.
